Key Purpose Statement

To support the maintenance and repair of vehicles through effective inspection, diagnosis, servicing, and preventive maintenance activities, ensuring vehicles operate safely and efficiently.

Job Requirements

Education:

  • Diploma (10+3/Level IV) in Auto Mechanics, Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, General Mechanics, or a related field of study.

  • Valid driving license is advantageous.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Vehicle Maintenance.

Duties & Responsibilities

Vehicle Inspection & Diagnostics

  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and identify mechanical defects.

  • Assist in diagnosing vehicle faults and determining corrective actions.

  • Report maintenance requirements and repair recommendations.

Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance standards.

  • Assist in servicing and repairing engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brake, and clutch systems.

  • Support basic troubleshooting and repair of automotive electrical systems.

  • Ensure vehicles are maintained in a roadworthy and safe operating condition.

Workshop Operations

  • Maintain workshop tools and equipment in good working condition.

  • Adhere to workplace safety and quality standards.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.

  • Support housekeeping and continuous improvement initiatives within the workshop.

Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance standards and practices.

  • Vehicle inspection and fault diagnosis skills.

  • Knowledge of engine, steering, suspension, brake, and clutch systems.

  • Basic automotive electrical troubleshooting skills.

  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
