ATTA Trading PLC, a member of ATTA Group, is a Construction Company engaged primarily in the Construction of High-rise Buildings and ICT infrastructures. Over the past years, our company has executed Civil Works, MEP installation Works, MEP materials supply, ICT Works and Finishing Works for some of the largest projects in Ethiopia.  

ATTA Trading Plc is seeking a highly motivated, dedicated, and results-oriented professional to join our dynamic team as a Junior Electrical Engineer (Power Stream). This position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to the successful implementation of the company’s engineering projects while gaining valuable professional experience in a challenging and collaborative work environment.

The successful candidate will support electrical engineering operations, including the design, installation, supervision, testing, and maintenance of electrical power systems across various company projects. Working closely with senior engineers and project teams, the Junior Electrical Engineer will assist in ensuring that all electrical works are executed in accordance with approved engineering standards, safety regulations, and company policies.

The role also involves participating in technical planning, site supervision, system troubleshooting, and project documentation, while contributing to the timely and efficient delivery of high-quality electrical engineering solutions.

Job Requirement

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Stream) from a recognized university.

• Applicants with very good or excellent GPA (3.5 and above) are encouraged to apply.

Experience: Minimum of 1 years of relevant experience and GPA must be 3.5 and above.

Workplace: Project Sites or Bole Bulabula Head office

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical power systems.

• Assist in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical power systems.

• Prepare electrical drawings, diagrams, and technical documentation for projects.

• Support senior engineers in project planning, implementation, and supervision.

• Conduct site inspections and electrical system evaluations.

• Assist in load calculations, cable sizing, and electrical equipment selection.

• Monitor electrical installation works to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.

• Help troubleshoot and resolve technical electrical issues during project execution.

• Assist in testing and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment.

• Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and documentation.

• Coordinate with other engineers, technicians, contractors, and stakeholders.

• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and engineering standards.

• Perform other duties assigned by the Engineering Manager.

Skills and Competencies

• Basic knowledge of electrical power systems and distribution systems

• Ability to use engineering software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar tools

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good understanding of electrical drawings and technical documents

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Strong commitment to professional ethics and safety standards
