Duties and Responsibilities

• Install wiring, outlets, fixtures, circuit breakers, transformers, and other electrical components.

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and schematics to plan layouts for new or existing systems.

• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on equipment like motors, generators, and lighting.

• Troubleshoot electrical faults using diagnostic tools, repair or replace damaged wiring and components, and ensure compliance with National Electrical Code and local regulations.

• Connect power to systems such as heating, cooling, alarms, intercoms, and communication devices while maintaining safety standards.

• Estimate costs, maintain records, supervise apprentices, and train others on installations or repairs.
