ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW 

The National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE), re-established by proclamation No. 1133/2011, is the constitutionally mandated body to conduct elections, organize referendum and regulate political parties in Ethiopia. NEBE is working to boost its’ institutional strength with a special focus on enhancement of human resource capacity. Accordingly, NEBE would like to invite applicants for Junior Graphics Design Expert I position who meet the following requirements.

Reports to:  Head of Communications Department

Duty station:  Addis Ababa 

Duration:    Permanent

Salary: As per the organization salary scale (Competitive)

The Junior Graphics Design Expert is responsible to Integrating artistic talent with technical proficiency to deliver high-quality designs that resonate with the organization's objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop creative concepts and visual styles for various projects, ensuring a consistent and cohesive visual identity.

• Collaborate with video editors and animators to integrate graphics seamlessly into multimedia projects.

• Design marketing collateral, brochures, posters, banners, social media graphics, info- graphics, presentations, and other promotional materials.

• Optimize designs for various digital platforms, ensuring responsiveness and optimal user experience.

• Collaborate with marketing and communication teams to align designs with campaign objectives and target audience preferences.

• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging design software, and best practices to enhance design capabilities.

• Assisting the Social Media & Graphic designer whenever he/she needs

• Any other duty assigned by the NEBE communications manager.

Job Requirements

Specification:

Education and Work Experience: 

• MA degree or BA in Computer science, information technology, media or any other related fields.

• 0 years for Masters or 3 years for BA. 

• Graphic Design

Mandatory Training:

Knowledge 

• Knowledge of layout, colour 

• Knowledge of typography/ Colour 

• Proficient in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other relevant tools.

Know-How (Skills) (Technical competencies):

• Creativity

• Artistic character 

• Interpersonal communication skills

• Attention to detail and Accuracy

• Not a member of a political party.

Behavioural competencies:

• Adaptability/ flexibility

• Being on timely

• Team Player

• Working under stressful conditions
