Job Summary:
The Junior HR Expert is an entry-level position within the Human Resources department designed for individuals seeking to start or grow their careers in human resources. The role involves assisting senior HR staff in the execution of HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, training, and general HR administration. The Junior HR Expert will gain hands-on experience and exposure to a wide range of HR activities in a dynamic work environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist in posting job openings on various platforms (job boards, social media etc)

  • Screen incoming applications and conduct initial phone interviews to shortlist candidates.

  • Coordinate interview schedules and liaise with hiring managers.

  • Assist in preparing offer letters and employment contracts for selected candidates.

  • Support the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring all paperwork and documentation are completed.

  • Provide new hires with information about company policies, benefits, and culture.

  • Help organize orientation programs for new employees.

  • Maintain and update employee records in HRIS (Human Resource Information System).

  • Assist in the preparation of HR reports and documents, such as headcount reports, turnover statistics, etc.

  • Assist with HR filing systems and ensure all documents are stored securely and in compliance with data protection regulations.

  • Assist with scheduling and tracking performance reviews and appraisals.

  • Provide administrative support during the performance management process.

  • Monitor employee performance against set goals and provide necessary follow-up.

  • Coordinate and organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars for employees.

  • Assist in tracking employee development and training progress.

  • Help maintain training records and ensure all required courses are completed.

  • Assist in addressing employee queries regarding company policies, benefits, and HR-related matters.

  • Help with the coordination of employee engagement activities and team-building events.

  • Support the HR team in promoting a positive work environment and employee satisfaction.

  • Assist in ensuring HR policies and procedures are followed by all employees.

  • Help maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations.

  • Provide support during audits and ensure all HR-related documentation is up-to-date and compliant.

  • Provide administrative support to senior HR personnel as needed.

  • Attend HR meetings and take notes or minutes, as required.

  • Help with special HR projects and tasks as assigned by senior HR staff.

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, standard office hours.

  • Occasional overtime may be required depending on workload and HR events.

  • Occasional travel may be required for recruitment.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR-related role, preferably in recruitment, employee relations, or HR administration.

  • Experience with HR software (HRIS) and Microsoft Office Suite is desirable but not required.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking ability

  • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
