About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Human Capital & General Services Officer to join our dynamic team. This entry-level role offers a fantastic opportunity to build a career in HR and office administration. You will provide crucial support in both Human Capital functions (like recruitment and onboarding) and General Services operations (such as office management and vendor coordination) to ensure smooth and efficient workplace operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the recruitment process: post job ads, screen resumes, and schedule interviews.
Coordinate new hire onboarding, including preparation of paperwork, orientation sessions, and trainings.
Maintain accurate and confidential digital and physical employee records.
Support payroll preparation by collecting and verifying attendance, leave, and other relevant data.
Help administer employee benefits and organize staff engagement events and communications.
Manage office supplies, equipment inventory, and coordinate maintenance requests.
Handle front-desk support, incoming/outgoing mail, and courier services.
Liaise with vendors and service providers (cleaning, security, catering) and assist in monitoring contracts.
Assist in office space planning, coordinating safety drills, and ensuring a safe work environment.
Coordinate travel arrangements and local transportation for staff as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant labor laws in all administrative activities.
Job Requirements
Person Specifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience: 1-2 years of experience in an HR or administrative support role is preferred. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are also encouraged to apply.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Basic understanding of HR practices and Ethiopian labor laws.
Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and Word). Familiarity with HRIS software is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.
A proactive attitude, high level of integrity, and a strong team spirit.
