Ethio Lift Manufacturing PLC is seeking a qualified Mechanical / Electromechanical Sales Engineer to support elevator pricing, quotation preparation, technical sales, and reporting activities.

The employee will mainly evaluate project information collected by the marketing team, including customer requirements, building details, drawings, and site measurements. She will process this information using the company’s elevator pricing and quotation system to prepare accurate prices, technical proposals, and customer quotations.

The employee will coordinate with the marketing, engineering, procurement, finance, installation, and maintenance teams to obtain missing information and ensure that each quotation meets the customer’s technical and commercial requirements.

Main responsibilities:

• Evaluate elevator project information collected by the marketing staff.
• Review customer requirements, architectural drawings, shaft dimensions, and site-measurement data.
• Enter and process project information using the company’s elevator pricing and quotation system.
• Select suitable elevator types and technical specifications according to project requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost calculations, selling prices, quotations, and technical proposals.
• Calculate equipment, transportation, customs, installation, commissioning, and other project-related costs.
• Verify quotation accuracy before submission to the marketing team or customer.
• Request additional customer, building, or technical information when required.
• Provide technical clarification and product information to the marketing team.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, finance, installation, and maintenance departments.
• Maintain updated quotation records, supplier prices, customer information, and project documents.
• Follow up submitted quotations and support responses to customer inquiries.
• Assist the marketing team in recommending suitable elevator solutions based on project requirements and customer budgets.
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on quotations, pricing activities, customer inquiries, and sales progress.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electromechanical Engineering.
• One to three years of relevant work experience in technical sales, cost estimation, quotation preparation, engineering, elevators, construction, or electromechanical equipment.
• Basic ability to read architectural, mechanical, and engineering drawings.
• Good numerical, analytical, pricing, and cost-calculation skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and email communication.
• Experience using quotation, pricing, ERP, CRM, or other company management systems is an advantage.
• AutoCAD knowledge is an advantage.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English and Amharic.
• Interest in elevator technology, technical sales, pricing, quotation preparation, and reporting.
• Ability to process project information accurately and prepare reliable commercial and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet quotation deadlines.
• Ability to work effectively with marketing, engineering, procurement, finance, installation, and maintenance teams.
• Responsible, organized, customer-focused, and willing to learn.
