ATTA Trading PLC, is a construction company engaged primarily in the construction of high-rise buildings and ICT infrastructure projects. Over the years, the company has successfully executed a wide range of projects including Civil Works, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) installations, MEP material supply, ICT infrastructure works, and finishing works for several large-scale developments in Ethiopia. To support its ongoing and upcoming projects, the company is currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals for the position of Junior Mechanical Engineer.

Job Summary

The Junior Mechanical Engineer will assist in the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems related to the company’s construction and engineering projects. The role requires working closely with senior engineers and project teams to ensure mechanical works are implemented efficiently and in accordance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

Job Requirement

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrotechnical Engineering from a recognized university.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant professional experience.

• Minimum GPA of 3.5 and above.

Duty Station: Project Sites or Head Office, Addis Ababa

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment.

• Support senior engineers in project planning, execution, and supervision of mechanical works.

• Participate in site inspections and monitoring of mechanical installations.

• Assist in the testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.

• Prepare technical drawings, engineering reports, and project documentation.

• Support troubleshooting and resolution of mechanical system issues.

• Ensure that project activities comply with engineering standards, safety regulations, and company procedures.

• Coordinate with engineers, technicians, contractors, and other project stakeholders.

• Monitor project progress and assist in preparing technical progress and performance reports.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the Engineering Manager or Project Manager.

  Skills and Competencies

• Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment installation, and maintenance.

• Familiarity with engineering drawings and mechanical design concepts.

• Basic knowledge of AutoCAD or other engineering design software.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Good communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

• Strong commitment to quality, safety, and professional ethics.
