Duties and Responsibilities

• Analyzing plant and soil samples for characteristics like nutrient content, pH levels, and genetic makeup.

• Conducting research and experiments to understand how various factors like climate, soil, water, pests, and diseases affect plant growth and crop yields.

• Developing new plant varieties with improved traits such as higher yield, nutritional content, pest resistance, or environmental adaptability.

• Creating and testing pesticides and other treatments to protect crops with minimal environmental impact.

• Advising farmers, gardeners, seed manufacturers, and policymakers on best practices for plant nutrition, soil management, pest control, and sustainable agriculture.
