We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Sourcing & Logistics Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing logistics-related documents, ensuring smooth communication with stakeholders, and supporting the overall flow of sourcing and logistics operations. This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level professional to grow in the field of logistics and supply chain management.
Required Number: 1
Receive and verify Proforma Invoices for accuracy using checklists.
Request corrections for Proforma Invoices as needed.
Organize and maintain a proper filing system for purchase documents.
Prepare bank Undertaking Forms and coordinate with authorized signatories.
Request insurance quotations and process insurance payments.
Encode, follow up, and secure approvals for requests on the Ethiopian Single Window platform.
Check shipping documents for accuracy and request corrections if necessary.
Prepare and submit payment requests to the finance department.
Fill out and process forms related to banking, shipping, logistics, and import permits.
Collect and distribute signed payments from banks.
Verify and process duty payment requests and demurrage invoices.
Coordinate with clearing agents and ensure timely payments.
Prepare documents for clearance at the National Bank of Ethiopia.
Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.
Education:
Degree in Business Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, Procurement, or a related field.
Experience:
Entry-level position; no prior experience required.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication and writing skills.
Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
Basic record-keeping and documentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
