Responsibilities

Full Stack Architecture & Design

• Define, govern, and continuously evolve enterprise application architecture standards for secure backend and frontend platforms operating under C4 confidentiality requirements.

• Lead end to end solution architecture for large scale, mission critical systems with multiple integration touchpoints and high-volume data processing.

• Act as the final technical authority for architectural decisions, including technology selection, design patterns, scalability strategies, performance optimization, and deployment models across environments.

 Backend Engineering & Data Processing

• Provide technical leadership and governance for the development of modular Spring Boot services and APIs, ensuring consistency, security, and maintainability across the backend landscape.

• Oversee high-volume data access and processing, including optimized database interaction, and scheduled background jobs operating on large datasets.

• Act as the escalation authority for backend performance, stability, and data integrity issues, driving root-cause analysis and long-term reliability improvements

   

 Frontend Engineering & Optimization

• Govern the development and optimization of Angular/React enterprise user interfaces, ensuring performance, security, and architectural consistency.

• Define standards for frontend performance, state management, and efficient API consumption, optimizing responsiveness under high data volumes.

• Provide technical mentorship and escalation support to frontend engineers, ensuring code quality and adherence to UI engineering best practices

   

DevOps, CI/CD & Release Excellence

• Define, govern, and enforce CI/CD standards and release pipelines using Jenkins, including automated testing, security scanning, and quality gates aligned with enterprise policies.

• Oversee Kubernetes-based deployments, configuration management, and ingress/HTTP proxy configurations, ensuring secure, repeatable, and controlled releases across environments

• Act as the escalation authority for release readiness and deployment failures, ensuring production stability through performance testing, resilience validation, rollback strategies, and formal release governance.

   

Security, Compliance & Integration

• Ensure secure service to service communication and secrets management.

• Collaborate with platform, database, and security teams to meet enterprise compliance requirements.

Operations Excellence & Incident Ownership

• Define and enforce secure service-to-service communication, authentication, authorization, and secrets management practices aligned with C4 confidentiality requirements.

• Provide technical governance and escalation support to ensure enterprise security and compliance standards are met across application, integration, and data layers through close collaboration with platform, database, and security teams.

Cross-functional Leadership & Collaboration

• Act as the senior technical authority and escalation point coordinating with internal system owners, platform teams, and security stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure data exchange across classified systems.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within engineering teams, enforce architectural standards, secure development practices, and operational discipline required for national-level security systems.

Documentation, Standards & Knowledge Leadership

• Establish and maintain authoritative technical documentation covering system architecture, data flows, APIs, integration contracts, deployment models, and operational procedures, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and controlled access in line with C4 confidentiality requirements.

• Define, govern, and continuously improve application engineering standards and practices, driving higher levels of technical maturity, consistency, and operational readiness across development and support teams through structured documentation, reviews, and knowledge-sharing mechanisms.

Qualifications

Must Have Technical / Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, Engineering, or related discipline.

• Minimum 4-6 years of progressive experience in enterprise grade application development.

• Proven experience delivering Spring Boot and Angular/React applications in production environments.

• Demonstrated experience working within structured delivery and operational models in secure or regulated environments, with an understanding of release governance and operational controls.
