Job Summary

Vertex SACCO Ltd. is seeking a qualified, dedicated, and results-oriented Loan Officer to manage loan processing activities, assess member creditworthiness, monitor loan portfolios, and ensure compliance with SACCO policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, Economics, Management, or with related field of study

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in loan administration, credit analysis, microfinance, SACCO, banking, or a related sector.

• Quantity Required: 6

Duties and Responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process loan applications.

• Conduct credit assessments and verify applicant information.

• Evaluate members' repayment capacity and loan eligibility.

• Prepare loan appraisal reports and recommendations.

• Monitor loan repayments and follow up on overdue accounts.

• Maintain accurate loan records and documentation.

• Conduct field visits and investigations when required.

• Provide financial and loan-related guidance to members.

• Ensure compliance with SACCO policies, regulations, and procedures.

• Prepare periodic loan portfolio and performance reports.

• Support loan recovery and collection activities.
