Job Summary: The logistics officer manages and coordinates the flow of goods, materials, and information across the supply chain. Responsibilities include procurement, transportation, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution. The role ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery of resources, maintains supplier and vendor relationships, oversees documentation, and supports operational efficiency. Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and monitor the movement of goods, materials, and equipment.
Ensure timely and efficient delivery to meet organizational or project needs.
Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock audits.
Oversee storage, handling, and distribution of materials in warehouses.
Source and purchase necessary goods and services.
Evaluate supplier performance, negotiate contracts, and maintain strong vendor relationships.
Arrange and track the transportation of goods.
Optimise routes and delivery schedules to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
Prepare and maintain accurate shipping, inventory, and customs documentation.
Generate logistics performance and cost analysis reports for management.
Ensure all logistics activities comply with company policies, safety standards, and legal regulations.
Monitor handling of hazardous or sensitive materials where applicable.
Job Requirements
BA Degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Transportation Management, Procurement & Supply Management, or other business-related fields
With 4 years of Banking experience, respectively, of which 2 years as a Junior officer in supplies.
