Logistics Officer (2 Positions)
Location: Addis Ababa Head Office, Ethiopia

Job Responsibilities

• Handle all import and export shipment activities from planning to final delivery.

• Process Duty-Free applications through the Ethiopian Single Window (ESW) system.

• Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and government authorities.

• Prepare, review, and verify all import and export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.

• Ensure compliance with Ethiopian customs regulations and import/export procedures.

• Follow up on customs clearance and resolve shipment delays or documentation issues.

• Monitor shipment status and provide regular updates to management.

• Coordinate inland transportation and warehouse operations when required.

• Maintain accurate shipment records and prepare logistics reports.

• Follow up on approximately 50 containers per month while meeting deadlines.

• Communicate with suppliers, customers, and government offices regarding shipment status and required documentation.

• Support inventory planning and coordinate with production to ensure the timely availability of imported materials.

• Perform other logistics and supply chain duties assigned by management.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills

• Good knowledge of import and export procedures.

• Familiarity with Ethiopian Single Window (ESW) and Duty-Free application procedures is an advantage.

• Strong communication and negotiation skills.

• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments simultaneously.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).

• Good command of both English and Amharic.

Experience

• Minimum: 2 years

• Maximum: 5 years
