 Job Summary: -

           To provide engineering support to the maintenance function through the repairing, replacing or manufacturing of parts for plant, machines and equipment in manufacturing to ensure plant availability and product quality at minimum cost whilst maintaining standards.

Key Responsibilites:

• Contribute to the repairs success rate of taken out machinery components and parts; and there by deliver higher repairs benefit over replacements through repair - replace analysis.

• Prepares spare parts required for components, parts and machines.

• Replaces worn out spare parts

• Maintains spares of vehicles.

• Works on the molding, milling and lathe machines to maintain parts.

• Performs the work of cutting, factoring, smoothing, drilling, threading and boring metals to make spare parts.

• Ensures the safety and cleanness of lathe machines, Drilling, grinding milling welding machines that are found in the work shop.

• Maintains and repairs production plant components and vehicle spare parts

• Modifies the required parts and components.

• Requests the necessary tools, spares and other materials

• Keeps the record of job accomplished, job orders and the drawings.

• Prepares and submits maintenance cost report in terms of time, human resource   and spares consumed.

• Comments on the maintenance of defective parts and spares which required to be maintained outside of the workshop.

• Inspects and receives the completed items.

• Prepares the annual budget for machining operation and submits to the section head

• Exercises safety precaution and ensures a safe working condition.

• Prepares periodic performance reports and submits to the Forman.

• Performs other related duties as assigned by the Forman.

 Job Requirements

Required Qualification

• Diploma in Machine Technology or equivalent

• At least five years of relevant work experince
