Job Description
The Service & Parts Manager is responsible for the complete Aftermarket business unit, including Service, Spare Parts, Accessories, and Lubricants for the Two-Wheeler and Three-Wheeler segments (EV & IC models). This role oversees parts ordering, workshop planning, and distribution coordination across a network of dealers, service centers, and retailers.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Develop parts forecasting models based on vehicle population, service history, and sales pipelines.
Workshop Operations: Supervise technicians to prioritize repair jobs, ensure timely vehicle turnaround, and minimize customer downtime.
Revenue Generation: Drive parts and service revenue growth through dealer network development, loyalty programs, and counter sales.
Warranty & Compliance: Process warranty claims according to OEM guidelines and maintain rigorous documentation for all jobs.
Inventory & Logistics: Oversee stock allocation and inventory systems to ensure the availability of critical parts while minimizing obsolescence.
Performance Tracking: Monitor key metrics such as job card closures, labor efficiency, and customer satisfaction (CSAT) scores.
Market Intelligence: Track competitor activities and provide regular field insights to the Head of Aftermarket.
Job Requirements
Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
Experience: 7+ years in Service and Parts management within the automotive industry, with at least 2 years at a Supervisory/Managerial level.
Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of Internal Combustion (IC) Engines (Mandatory) and Electric Vehicle (EV) components.
Operational Skills: Experience in Job Card management, workshop reporting, and interpreting technical parts catalogues.
Systems: Proficiency in Dealer Management Systems (DMS) is highly preferred.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, cross-functional coordination, and excellent interpersonal skills to handle dealer and customer grievances.
