Role Summary
The Marketing Lead is the primary architect of the company’s brand identity, responsible for integrating ATL, BTL, and digital strategies to strengthen market presence. This role bridges marketing vision and sales execution by ensuring effective product positioning and leading New Product Development (NPD).
The role also oversees the end-to-end customer experience across all showrooms while leveraging market intelligence to maintain a competitive edge.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Communications (ATL/TTL)
Develop and execute the annual marketing strategy and calendar aligned with company objectives and brand values.
Oversee all Above-the-Line (ATL) activities (radio, billboard, print) and Through-the-Line (TTL) integrated campaigns.
Lead Social Media Management (SMM), including content strategy, community engagement, and paid campaigns across TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and Telegram.
Direct the production of high-quality visual assets, including photography and videography, for the product portfolio.
2. Trade Marketing & Showroom Standardization (BTL)
Lead the “Perfect Store” initiative to ensure consistent showroom excellence and periodic refresh.
Develop and distribute sales enablement tools (catalogues, case studies, technical specifications, comparison matrices).
Design and manage procurement of point-of-sale (POS) materials (banners, stickers, shelf-talkers).
Enforce brand identity standards, including staff uniforms and in-store presentation.
3. Events, Trade Shows & Activations
Plan and execute corporate events, product launches, and trade shows end-to-end.
Manage logistics including booth design, staffing, training, and post-event lead tracking.
Identify and secure high-impact sponsorship opportunities within the Ethiopian business ecosystem.
4. Market Intelligence & New Product Development (NPD)
Identify market opportunities by analyzing global trends and local demand gaps.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and product offerings; deliver monthly sales “battle cards.”
Capture Voice of Customer (VoC) through surveys and focus groups to guide product decisions.
5. Reporting & Analytics
Prepare and present daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual marketing performance reports.
Track key metrics including brand health, brand recall, engagement rates, and website traffic.
Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
6. Team Leadership & Talent Development
- Set clear KPIs and manage performance of the marketing team.
- Coach and develop team members to strengthen capabilities in digital, creative, and trade marketing.
- Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence aligned with company values.
Minimum Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field
Professional marketing certification is an added advantage
Experience
- 3–5 years of relevant experience
- Minimum 2 years in a leadership or managerial role
