WE-Action is currently seeking a competent MHNT Community Mobilizer.

The primary purpose of the MHNT Community Mobilizer is to provide the necessary support and mobilize the community for routine implementation and delivery of the mobile health and nutrition services in the assigned Woreda.
She/he will mainly be responsible to support for the day-to-day implementation of the mobile health and nutrition services under the team. The main role of this position will be controlling crowd during provision of health and nutrition services for communities and mobilizing them for demand creation and awareness creation services at the assigned woreda.
Duties and Responsibilities
Mobilize internally displaced communities (IDPs) and host communities for various awareness creation and health promotion events.
Control crowd during health service provision by mobile health and nutrition team.
Make registration and keep updated demographic data on the number of IDPs, and host community beneficiaries.
Closely work with the MHNT as one of the team member.
Create smooth relationship and closely work with the Keble authorities, religious leaders community representatives.
Link IDPs who need health service to the MHNT to seek proper health service.
Undertake other additional activities as per the direction of immediate supervisor.
Perform other duties as required or assigned.
Organizing and carrying out care and treatments according to medical prescriptions, and assisting during consultations, daily Mobile Health and Nutrition activity and other medical procedures. Participating in health education of the patient (and family) when necessary.
Ensuring patients are properly received and installed and that those with lack of autonomy are assisted, especially regarding their feeding, personal hygiene, movements and comfort, ensuring triage of patients in waiting areas, wards or during emergencies, detecting the priority acute/emergency cases, carrying out first aid care and referring them to the Health Officers when necessary
Sending material to be sterilized and recuperates it from sterilization
Carrying out admission, surveillance and follow-up of patients (i.e. assessment of the evolution of their state of health and the identification of any emergency situation or deterioration
Carrying and supervising administrative procedures and documents (fill in patient’s files, forms, consumptions, statistics, registers, health files, etc.), ensuring an appropriate written/oral handover, and reporting any problematic situations and cases that may arise. Participating in data collection and keeping Health officers /supervisors informed.
Participating in the department-related pharmacy and medical equipment control and maintenance (quality and its functioning, storage conditions, follow-up of expired drugs inventories, stock takes of medicines and material at every team changeover ensuring no material is taken out of Mobile health and Nutrition team without prior authorization, etc.)
Supervising and training nurse-aids, nutritional assistants, cleaners and other related staff under his/her supervision, ensuring teamwork and adherence to all appropriate protocols and procedures.
Essential computer literacy (word, excel)

Fluent written and spoken English, local language and Afan Oromo is an asset.
Qualification:
BSc/BA/Diploma in Health Science, Public Health, Nursing, Counseling Sociology, Social Work and health related Studies 1-3 Years of professional experience mobile health and nutrition outreach services both in humanitarian and development project.
Previous experience working in Mobile health and nutrition team response program is preferable.
Good project management skills, ability to plan, organize and monitoring of implementation of MHNT projects.
Demonstrated qualifications, experience, or training in community mobilization and community health promotion.
Experience in organizing and facilitating training.
Excellent written and spoken English and local language
