Duties and Responsibilites:

  • Undertake research lead teaching sessions in the classroom, skills laboratory and clinical areas

  • Devote one-self to transmission or transfer of own full knowledge and skills to the students

  • Teach following accepted professional principles, including professional responsibility and intellectual rigor with regard to standards and methods of teaching,

  • Prepare teaching plan, teaching materials, handouts and other supplementary materials for the courses he/she offers.

  • Assess students’ performance, prepare and administer examinations and other forms of assessment, provide on-time necessary feedback and submit students’ final grades.

  • Mentor and supervise students at clinical settings

  • Participate actively in curriculum review and development, enhancement and/or enrichment of syllabi, course plans, course manuals, etc. for the courses offered by the college.

  • Council, assist and guide the students in accordance with the mission and objectives of the college

  • Make recommendations and arrangements with the librarian to reserve essential reference books

  • Carry out research and community services with professional rigor, scientific inquiry, and research ethics.

  • Advise and supervise students research projects

  • Additional extracurricular tasks as assigned by the organization.

Job Requirements:

  • Education: MSc/Ph.D. in Midwifery or Maternity and Neonatal Nursing or Maternity and Reproductive Health Nursing or Related fields of study (BSc in Midwifery is a must)

  • Expereince: Five years and above experience in both academics and clinical settings are mandatory

  • Trained on maternal and child health topics (like PMTCT, BEmONC, FP, CAC, HBB, etc...) Preferable

  • Having a Higher diploma (HDP)in teaching, Training on Instructional design, and Effective teaching skills is an Asset
