Position: Motorcycle Messenger

Main Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for transporting messages, posts, and small materials using motorcycles 

• To collect relevant messages, and documents among others and pass them over to relevant work units,

• Involves checking motorcycles before driving and determining that it is in proper operating conditions  

• Deliver packages, document and other items to specified destinations within set timeframes ,

• Maintain an accurate long of all deliveries and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery

• Inspect and maintain the motorbike to ensure it is in proper working condition 

• Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers and other team members to optimize delivery schedules,

• Report any incidents they encounter on the road to a dispatcher, 

• Follow applicable traffic law 

• Report mechanical problems to the appropriate personal on time

• Keep their  motorcycle and associated equipment clean and in working order 

• Do other tasks as assigned by the supervisor 

Job Requirements

Qualification and Experience: 

• Completion of 10th Grade with a valid Grade 1 or equivalent driving license,

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a motorbike messenger in similar delivery role

• Possession of a valid grade 1 or equivalent driver’s license and any applicable local certifications 

Competences:

• Proven ability to navigate and deliver goods efficiently in high traffic, urban environment 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact  with partners and employees 

• Possession of a valid grade 1 or equivalent driver’s license and any applicable local certifications
