2. BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Under close supervision of General Service Officer, collects and distributes letters, mails and parcels; registers all items handled, and ensures that receivers sign for received items; undertakes other errand services; keeps confidentiality of letters, mails and parcels handled and protects them from damage or loss;

 

3. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Registers all letters, mailsand parcels comingfrom departments offices, and units, and distributes themto various outside organizations as per theiraddresses; ascertains thatthe receivers signfor received items;

• Sends letters, mailsand parcels throughthe post office to domestic or international institutions or individuals as per their addresses by putting the necessary stamps on the envelopes;

• Collects letters, mails and parcels sent to the Company fromthe post officeand hands themover to the designated office or employee for registration and distribution;

• As per instructions, pays for annualpostal rental fees,and subscription feesfor newspapers and magazines;

• Keeps confidentiality of letters, mails and parcels handled and protects them from damage or loss;

• Handles assigned motorcycle with care;follows up its timely repairand service and ensures that traffic regulations are observed at all times;

• Performs otherrelated duties as required.

4. JOB REQUIREMENT:4.1 Education:Grade 10 + GradeI Driving License 4.2 Experience:2 years of driving experience 5. COMPETENCIES

• Knowledge of traffic regulations and safety rules

• Knowledge of basic automechanics

• Ability to drive motorcycle safely and reliably

• Basic time management skill
