AL-HIDIK Hardware & Construction Co. Ltd is pleased to announce a job vacancy for the position of Office Secretary / Tender Documentation Assistant to join our team at our office in Jigjiga, Somali Region, Ethiopia.

About the Company

AL-HIDIK Hardware & Construction Co. Ltd is a fully registered construction, solar, logistics, and general contracting company based in Jigjiga, Somali Region, Ethiopia, with over 15 years of proven experience in:

  • Building construction and civil engineering works

  • Solar system supply, installation, and maintenance

  • Transportation and logistics services

  • Hardware supply and general contracting

  • Infrastructure and facility development works

  • Emergency and humanitarian project support

We have successfully collaborated with international and humanitarian organizations including UNICEF, FAO, WFP, NRC, CARE, IOM, World Vision, Save the Children International (SCI), ACTED, and others.

Key Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will be responsible for:

  • Preparing tender documents

  • Writing and organizing company documents

  • Responding to company emails

  • Filing and organizing office records and documents

  • Supporting daily office administration tasks

  • Assisting in preparation of reports and official correspondence

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in Office Management, Business Administration, or related fields

Language Requirements:

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)

  • Fluent in Amharic (written and spoken)

  • Knowledge of Somali language is an advantage

Computer Skills (Very Important):

Applicants must have strong computer skills, including:

  • Microsoft Word — document preparation and formatting

  • Microsoft Excel — data entry, tables, calculations, and reporting

  • Microsoft PowerPoint — basic presentation preparation

  • Email handling — sending and replying professionally

  • Internet usage — downloading, uploading, and managing files

  • Ability to prepare tender documents using computer

Additional Requirements:

  • This position is open for Female Candidates Only

  • Must have previous work experience in office administration or tender preparation

  • Must provide official experience letter(s)

  • Must provide reference contacts

  • Must have valid Ethiopian National ID
