Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia comprises, the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital, five regional fistula hospitals across Ethiopia, Desta Mender Hamlin’s Rehabilitation and Reintegration Centre, the Hamlin College of Midwives and more than 90 Hamlin supported midwifery clinics.

Summary

The Partnerships & Resource Mobilization Manager will be responsible for the management and execution of strategies to increase Hamlin Fistula Ethiopia’s (HFE) external partnerships and maximise philanthropic support for HFE in Ethiopia. The role will also manage implementation of HFE’s positioning strategy to become known by locally based philanthropic funders and partners including trusts and foundations, Multilaterals, INGOs, NGOs, Embassies in Addis Ababa and Ethiopian government partners.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Experience and Attributes

  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing a multi-faceted fundraising and awareness-raising strategy, including experience with high-net-worth individuals, grant-making foundations, government donors and INGOs 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with and build relationships with a range of high-level stakeholders

  • Demonstrated experience in developing and writing compelling funding and partnership proposals.

  • Good understanding of the Ethiopian legal and regulatory environment impacting fundraising.

  • Passion and energetic team member.

Job Requirements

Required Educational level/Specialization

  • BA/BSc in Marketing, Economics, Business Management, Business Administration, or related fields.

  • MA/MSc degrees are preferred.

Work Experience

5+ years partnership development experience and a track record of achieving revenue targets for a non-profit organisation in Ethiopia

Mode of Employment

One year contract renewable based on performance
