A pastry chef, also known as a pâtissier, is a skilled professional in a kitchen who specializes in creating pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
Required Number: 1
Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, bread, and other baked goods according to recipes.
Develop new and innovative dessert menus that align with seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Decorate and present pastries and desserts in an attractive and consistent manner.
Ensure all pastries and baked goods meet high quality and taste standards.
Monitor inventory of baking ingredients and order supplies as needed.
Supervise and train junior pastry staff and kitchen assistants.
Education: Diploma/Certificate in Food Preparation, Hotel Operation, and related fields. With relevant work experience as a Pastry Chef at a 3- or 4-star hotel.
Experience: 3 years
Supervisory experience
Having COC certification is an advantage
Excellent interpersonal skills
Capable of working in a team environment
Highly organized, able to carry out tasks independently and punctual
Excellent menu planning, cost control, and recipe preparation ability
Proactive, innovative and customer-focused
Ability to give attention to detail & Able to work under pressure
