Position Purpose

The Personal Technical Assistant (PTA) serves as the direct tactical arm of the Chief Executive Officer, responsible for translating strategic intent into structured execution.
This role demands a rare blend of intellectual agility, operational discipline, and emotional intelligence. The PTA works at the intersection of leadership and execution—crafting documents, coordinating decisions, conducting research, and ensuring that every directive from the CEO’s office is implemented with precision, speed, and clarity.

The PTA must think like an analyst, write like a strategist, and operate with the discipline of a military aide.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Strategic & Technical Support

  • Translate the CEO’s vision, verbal instructions, and strategic decisions into clear, actionable tasks and documents.

  • Draft, edit, and format professional letters, speeches, board papers, and strategic reports.

  • Prepare analytical summaries, market briefs, and benchmarking documents to support executive decision-making.

2. Executive Coordination

  • Track and follow up on all CEO directives with department heads, councils, and subsidiaries.

  • Manage the daily operational rhythm of the CEO’s office, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met.

  • Maintain seamless communication flow between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders.

3. Analytical & Research Function

  • Conduct business intelligence and policy research on real estate, PPP frameworks, or government initiatives relevant to Ovid Real Estate.

  • Prepare concise executive briefs highlighting risks, opportunities, and recommendations.

4. Digital Integration & Data Management

  • Utilize ERP, CRM, and AI-powered tools to extract data and generate performance summaries.

  • Create structured digital archives for all CEO correspondence, directives, and approvals.

5. Professional Representation

  • Represent the CEO’s office in preliminary meetings, when delegated.

  • Demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and composure at all times in internal and external interactions.

Key Deliverables

  • Well-drafted, accurate, and timely documents reflecting the CEO’s tone and strategic intent.

  • Weekly executive summaries capturing decisions, progress, and risks.

  • 100% follow-up closure rate on CEO-assigned tasks.

  • Measurable improvement in the speed and quality of decision implementation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably), Management, Business Administration, or Economics from a recognized institution.

Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in executive support, business analysis, or project coordination within a corporate or development-oriented organization.

  • Proven experience working with C-suite or senior leadership teams.

Technical Competencies

  • Exceptional writing, synthesis, and presentation skills.

  • Strong command of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ERP/CRM systems (preferably Odoo).

  • Excellent analytical reasoning and information structuring ability.

  • Fluent in both English and Amharic — capable of drafting high-level correspondence in both languages.
