Teklehayimanot General Hospital are seeking a dedicated and patient-focused Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and effective management of patient medication therapy. This includes the accurate dispensing of medications, providing expert clinical advice to patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a deep knowledge of pharmacology, a strong commitment to patient care, and excellent communication skills

Requirement

• Qualified from recognized Higher Educational Institution by Clinical Pharmacy. 

• License is Mandatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Read, interpret, and fill prescription orders accurately

• Check for drug interactions and dosage errors

• Counsel patients on how to take their medications safely

• Provide advice on over-the-counter products

• Work with doctors and nurses to plan patient care

• Manage pharmacy inventory and remove expired products

• Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff

• Follow all state and federal pharmacy laws

• Process insurance claims and handle billing issues

Qualifications

• Degree in Pharmacy (BS Pharm or Pharm.D.)

• Valid state Pharmacist license

• Immunization certification is a plus

• 1–2 years of experience preferred, but new grads are welcome to apply

Job Requirements The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy (BSc Pharmacy or Pharm.D.) from a recognized institution, with a valid professional pharmacist license. Immunization certification is an added advantage. Demonstrated ability to dispense medications accurately, provide appropriate pharmaceutical counseling, maintain medication records, ensure proper storage and handling of medicines, support immunization services where applicable, and comply with applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and professional standards is essential.
