Role Overview
The Picker / Packer Assistant is an essential member of the parts and warehouse team, supporting the smooth and accurate fulfilment of spare parts orders for two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles — both Electric (EV) and Internal Combustion (IC) models — across operations in Ethiopia. This role is responsible for counting & picking parts from warehouse locations as per order instructions, packing them securely for dispatch, and ensuring all outgoing consignments are correct, complete, and properly labelled. The ideal candidate is physically active, meticulous, and committed to maintaining the accuracy and speed required in a busy automotive parts environment.
Key Responsibilities
Pick spare parts and accessories from designated warehouse bin locations accurately against pick lists, work orders, or system-generated orders.
Pack parts securely using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit to dealerships, service centres, or end customers.
Verify part numbers, quantities, and condition of items before packing to ensure order accuracy and minimise returns or complaints.
Label all outgoing packages clearly with correct delivery details, part descriptions, and any handling instructions.
Receive and check inbound parts deliveries against purchase orders, reporting any discrepancies or damaged items to the supervisor.
Assist in maintaining warehouse cleanliness, bin organisation, and proper storage of parts to facilitate easy retrieval.
Participate in periodic stock counts and assist the Parts team in reconciling physical inventory with system records.
Follow all workplace health, safety, and handling guidelines, including safe lifting practices for heavy or bulky vehicle components.
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
Secondary school certificate or equivalent; a technical or vocational qualification in automotive or logistics is an advantage.
Minimum 2 years of experience in a warehouse, parts store, or logistics role, preferably within the automotive or two/three-wheeler industry.
Basic ability to read part numbers, order documents, and bin labels; familiarity with barcode scanners is a plus.
Good physical fitness with the ability to stand for extended periods and handle parts weighing up to 25 kg.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work efficiently as part of a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Basic understanding of spoken and written Amharic; some English literacy preferred for reading part labels and documentation.
Basic Computer literacy is preferred to operate, take out prints and enter desired command, can be trained.
