Job Summary

ATTA Trading Plc is a well-established construction company engaged in high-rise building construction and ICT infrastructure development. The Company has successfully executed major projects across Ethiopia, encompassing civil works, MEP installations, MEP material supply, ICT systems, and finishing works.

The Company is currently seeking a highly qualified, motivated, and experienced Planning Engineer with a strong background in high-rise construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in project planning, scheduling, monitoring, and coordination at the site level.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or with related field of study.

Experience:

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Planning Engineer, preferably on high-rise building projects

• Proven experience working in a site-based environment (site office experience is mandatory)

Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive baseline master schedules for high-rise construction projects using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project

• Operate from the site office as the central point for project scheduling, monitoring, and progress tracking

• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams (Civil, MEP, QA/QC, Procurement) to obtain accurate and up-to-date project data

• Monitor project performance against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations, delays, and critical path impacts

• Perform resource planning, loading, and leveling (labor, materials, and equipment) to ensure alignment with project timelines

• Prepare and present detailed daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and dashboards

• Identify potential scheduling risks and develop effective mitigation and recovery strategies in coordination with relevant teams

• Lead and participate in coordination meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication across all departments

Skills & Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
