To design, implement, and maintain the Bank's cybersecurity infrastructure and operational frameworks. This role is responsible for proactively engineering security solutions and managing real-time security operations to protect the Bank’s digital assets, ensure data integrity, and mitigate cyber threats.

Job Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISA, or CCNP Security are highly preferred.

• Experience:  7 Years of Experience in a relevant position, in the Banking Industry, with 2 Years as a Senior IT Security Officer or similar position in the Banking Industry.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. Design and architect advanced cybersecurity solutions, including firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and secure network zones.

2. Implement and configure security tools to protect the Bank’s infrastructure, endpoints, and information systems from unauthorized access.

3. Analyze complex security logs and alerts from security platforms to identify potential security breaches or vulnerabilities.

4. Lead incident response activities, serving as a technical lead during high-severity cyber-attacks to ensure containment and recovery.

5. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing coordination to identify and remediate security gaps.

6. Manage the operational lifecycle of security technologies, including regular updates, policy tuning, and performance optimization.

7. Perform threat hunting activities to proactively identify hidden threats within the Bank’s environment.

8. Develop and update technical security standards, operational procedures, and incident response playbooks.

9. Monitor the Bank's compliance with internal security policies and external regulatory requirements (e.g., NBE directives).

10. Evaluate new security technologies and conduct Proof of Concepts (PoC) to enhance the Bank’s defense-in-depth strategy.

11. Collaborate with the IT Infrastructure and Applications teams to ensure security-by-design in all new technical projects.

12. Coordinate with external security vendors and service providers for managed security services or specialized audits.

13. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior security officers and IT staff on emerging cyber threats and defense tactics.

14. Maintain comprehensive documentation of the Bank’s security architecture and configuration baselines.

15. Performs other related activities as might be given to him from time to time by his immediate supervisor.
