Job Summary

The Metal Printing Quality Assurance Expert is responsible for ensuring that printed metal products meet established quality, dimensional, visual, and customer requirements. The role involves monitoring the metal printing process, inspecting finished products, identifying defects, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to maintain consistent production quality.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Inspect raw materials, printed components, and finished products according to specifications.
• Monitor printing parameters and production processes to ensure consistent quality.
• Identify defects such as poor adhesion, scratches, color variation, misalignment, smearing, incomplete printing, surface damage, and dimensional inconsistencies.
• Perform dimensional, visual, and functional inspections using appropriate measuring and testing equipment.
• Establish and maintain quality standards, inspection criteria, and acceptance limits.
• Conduct root-cause analysis of quality problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Work with production and maintenance teams to resolve recurring quality issues.
• Monitor process capability and production trends and recommend improvements.
• Maintain inspection records, quality reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective-action documentation.
• Verify that printing equipment is properly calibrated and operating within required parameters.

Qualifications Required

Education

• BSc/MSc in Industrial/Chemical Engineering and related field of study.

Experience

• 4 years for BSc, 2 years for MSc with relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry is preferable.
