SUMMARY OF THE ROLE
As a Procurement Coordinator, you will support the company’s goals by executing assigned Indirect Materials purchasing tasks in line with Group Purchasing policies.
This role is based in Addis Ababa and reports to the Procurement Manager.
Responsibilities:
Identify and plan Indirect Materials (IM) needs through close coordination with user departments.
Source, evaluate, and approve suppliers, including conducting audits when required.
Support user departments in defining optimal IM specifications
Secure best-value agreements by following the Tactical Purchasing Process and using appropriate contract formats.
Implement and monitor relevant global or regional agreements.
Place and track orders, control invoices, and report agreed KPIs to the Purchasing Manager.
Job Requirements
Qualification and Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher within a relevant field
Over three years of relevant experience in purchasing in a manufacturing company
Competence requirements
Builds a useful network of contacts and relationships and utilizes it to achieve objectives
Uses a methodical and systematic approach; plans ahead, defines clear priorities and allocates resources effectively
Co-operates well with others; shares knowledge, experience and information; supports others in the pursuit of team goals

Additional Requirements
Experience with, and good understanding of, ERP and planning processes
Exposure to greenfield project purchases
