About the role

The Procurement Supervisor at Lovegrass Agro Processing PLC is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end purchasing process to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This includes managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, supervising procurement staff, and ensuring all purchasing activities align with the company's budget and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities 

• Sourcing & Vendor Management: Identify and vet reliable suppliers for raw materials and office supplies; maintain an updated database of approved vendors.

• Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate favorable terms, prices, and delivery schedules with suppliers to maximize value for the company.

• Purchase Order Management: Oversee the preparation and processing of purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of requested items.

• Inventory Coordination: Work closely with the warehouse and production teams to prevent stockouts or overstocking of essential materials.

• Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, legal regulations, and ethical standards.

• Market Intelligence: Stay updated on price trends and market shifts within the agro-processing and manufacturing industry.

• Team Supervision: Monitor the performance of procurement officers and provide guidance on complex purchasing tasks.

 

Job Requirements

Required Qualification 

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2 years experience in procurement or supply chain. 

• Proven experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector is an advantage.

Key Competencies 

• Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.

• Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Excel.

• Excellent analytical skills to interpret market data and pricing trends.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
