Job Title:  Production Machine Operator

Location: Addis Ababa (around Winget area)

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production Machine Operator to join our growing production team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of our pet food manufacturing line. You will play a key part in producing high-quality products that pets love and their owners trust.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines to produce pet food products according to production specifications and schedules.

• Process Control: Monitor and adjust process parameters such as temperature, moisture, pressure, and speed to ensure product quality and minimize waste.

• Quality Assurance: Perform regular in-process quality checks on product size, shape, color, and texture. Document findings and report any non-conformities immediately.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment. Report mechanical issues to the Operation Manger with minor repairs or changeovers.

• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP). Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized work area.

• Documentation: Accurately complete all required production logs, quality checklists, and downtime reports.

• Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other operators, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure a smooth production flow.

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications / Education & Experience

2 years of experience for TVET graduates in Level II or III certification in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or a related field or 1 Year or above for Degree holder in Mechanical Engineer and Electro-Mechanical Engineer .

Highly desirable: Hands-on experience operating extrusion machinery in a food, feed, or plastic manufacturing environment and preferred near to Winget area.
