Purpose of the Job:
The Production Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of daily production operations. This role focuses on continuously optimizing production procedures to increase productivity and reduce costs, while maintaining high product quality standards. The Production Manager plays a key role in organizing and developing the production team's capabilities, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring operational efficiency. Additionally, the position involves managing material resources, monitoring production safety, and ensuring compliance with customs requirements. The goal is to create a cohesive, efficient, and motivated production team to achieve the company’s production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Order Management: Review production orders, approve order review results, and ensure alignment with production capabilities and delivery schedules.
2. Production Scheduling and Delivery: Supervise daily production schedules, monitor the delivery-on-time rate, and ensure timely and efficient production to meet customer expectations.
3. Monthly Delivery Planning: Develop and coordinate monthly production and delivery plans, ensuring that production capacity aligns with customer demand and resource availability.
4. Production Instruction Management: Review, update, and approve production instructions, ensuring clarity and adherence to quality and production standards.
5. Abnormality Handling: Identify and address any abnormalities or disruptions in the daily production process, implementing corrective actions to maintain smooth operations.
6. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize production procedures to improve efficiency, reduce production costs, and enhance product quality in line with customer requirements.
7. Safety and Compliance Monitoring: Ensure that all production activities comply with safety standards and "5S" workplace organization principles. Promote a safe working environment and enforce safety protocols.
8. Production Data Analysis: Collect and analyze production data, identify trends and areas for improvement, and implement strategies to optimize production processes.
9. Customs Compliance: Manage materials and production processes in accordance with customs requirements, ensuring all procedures and records are compliant with customs standards.
10. Warehouse and Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse management, optimize inventory levels, reduce stockholding costs, and ensure effective material utilization.
11. Reporting: Prepare and review weekly and monthly departmental reports, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
12. Resource Allocation: Mobilize human and material resources within the department efficiently, ensuring optimal resource utilization to meet production targets.
13. Cross-Departmental Coordination: Act as a liaison between the production department and other departments to resolve issues and ensure smooth inter-departmental collaboration.
14. Organizational Structure and Management System: Establish and continuously improve the organizational structure and management systems within the production department, ensuring effective implementation and adherence.
15. Training and Development: Develop and implement an annual training plan for production staff, enhancing skills and competencies to meet production goals.
16. Budget Management: Prepare the annual budget for the production department and ensure that departmental activities are conducted within the allocated budget.
17. Annual Goal Achievement: Organize and manage departmental activities to align with the company’s annual goals, ensuring the successful achievement of production objectives.
18. Staff Management and Performance Evaluation: Manage daily activities of production staff, oversee performance evaluations, and provide feedback to foster development and productivity.
19. Other Tasks: Complete any additional tasks assigned by senior management in support of production and company-wide objectives.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering or a related field.
Experience: 8 years and above proven experience in a Garment manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
Skills: Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Strong understanding of ISO 13485 quality management system.
Proficiency in production planning, scheduling, and inventory management.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
