Job Summary:

The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the ready-mix concrete production facility to ensure efficient, timely, and quality-controlled output. This includes supervising batching operations, managing production staff, monitoring equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and supporting the Production Manager in achieving operational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily production activities including batching, mixing, and dispatching of readymix concrete.

• Coordinate and monitor the performance of batching plant operators, loaders, and support staff.

• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining product quality and consistency.

• Work closely with the quality control team to confirm that all concrete mixes meet customer and project specifications.

• Maintain optimal inventory levels of raw materials such as cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures.

• Assist in troubleshooting plant or equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.

• Enforce safety procedures and company policies across all plant operations.

• Monitor and record production data, downtime, and efficiency metrics, and report to the Production Manager.

• Ensure cleanliness and proper housekeeping of the plant area and production equipment.

• Train new staff on production processes, safety protocols, and equipment handling.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related technical field (preferred but not mandatory with experience).

• Minimum 3 years of experience in ready-mix concrete operations, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

• Solid knowledge of batching operations, concrete mix designs, and plant equipment.

• Strong leadership, team coordination, and communication skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and make quick decisions during production challenges.

• Basic mechanical skills and understanding of production machinery.

• Familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality control standards in concrete production.

• Proficiency in using batching software and basic MS Office tools.

Work Environment:

• Based at a batching plant, with exposure to heavy machinery, noise, dust, and weather conditions.

• PPE usage required, along with adherence to safety protocols.

Job Requirements The successful candidate should possess a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology, or a related technical field; however, candidates with substantial relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the educational qualification.
