Ethiopian Public Health Institute is hiring a Proficiency Testing (PT) Panel Production Specialist to strengthen national laboratory quality assurance. The role focuses on designing, producing, and managing PT panels in line with ISO/IEC 17043 standards, ensuring reliable external quality assessment services across Ethiopia’s health laboratories. The specialist will also provide training, analysis, and reporting to support continuous improvement of diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and validate PT panels for various laboratory disciplines
• Oversee production, QC, packaging, and distribution of PT materials
• Analyze participant results and provide feedback reports

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Master’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or related field
• At least 10 years’ experience in a health laboratory setting
• Proven EQA program experience
• Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17043
• Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and statistical software (SPSS, STATA)
