 The Program Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant is responsible for the collection, checking and entry of confidential clinical data, getting monitoring tools ready for use by the clinical team, as well as minor analysis. The Program Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will report to the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator.   

Job Responsibilities:

Data Entry: (30%)

Under the supervision of the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator, review, enter, and clean electronic records of data related to clinical and community outreach. Process completed monitoring forms (submitted by clinical and counseling staff); enter the data into a database; verify that data are correctly entered; compile raw data in various forms. Back-up data storage files after each wave of data entry. Safeguard the confidentiality of client data. Ensure the secure storage of electronic data (as well as paper forms while in possession). (10%)

Support Collection of Data:

Maintain original, blank, paper copies of data collection and monitoring forms. Ensure that a supply of adequate paper forms is available as needed by clinical and counseling staff. Work with M&E and clinical staff to ensure adequate procedures are in place to securely collect, enter, and store confidential client information, especially as forms are submitted to, and returned from, the M&E staff during data entry.(5%)

Other Data Related Tasks: (5%)

Contribute to other tasks to support the monitoring and evaluation of the program, as directed. May support the Program Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator in some tasks related to regular reporting for internal or external audiences.

Other Duties: Participate in other department and organization-wide activities, meetings and trainings. Complete administrative responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned. 

 Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Work Environment: 

  • Typical office environment with regular travel to local government offices and occasional travel to project sites

  • Time spent on the computer is approximately 85%

  • Time spent in virtual meetings is approximately 10%

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, of up to 10 kilograms.

Travel: Ability to travel to a variety of locations within the region

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations

  • Diploma or above in Information technology or related.

  • Excellent computer skills, especially strong proficiency with SPSS, Microsoft Excel and Word. 

  • Experience in data entry. 

  • Experience with online surveys, such as Alchemer.

  • Degree or other certifications in social science, computer science, program evaluation, etc.

  • Previous experience working with CVT Ethiopia strongly preferred.

Terms of Employment: Until July 15, 2026, depending on funding availability and with possibility of extension.
