Job Summary:
Responsible for the adherence of financial policies & procedures, internal control, cash management, budgeting, budget monitoring, financial reporting, audit facilitation, staff supervision and support. Also responsible for the proper functioning of the finance units in in Ethiopia country office in all matters involving finance and control and management of assets
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Finance or with related field of study.
Experience: 5 years of experience in Finance & related fields out of which 2 years’ of work experience as a project accountant or INGO experience is desirable
Location: South West Region – Gemu
Duration of Contract: one year with possibility of extension
Salary: As per the organization salary scale
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with I1D’s policies and procedures and with the regulations and laws of the government of Ethiopia in all financial matters;
Be responsible for ensuring proper controls over all Imagine1day regional office assets and for maintenance of proper systems and procedures for all accounting transactions.
Responsible for the preparation of monthly budget variance by project with a project cash flow analysis and report to Finance coordinator
Review the regional monthly financial reports against the documents.
Be responsible for handing cash request from regionals as per the Standard in a monthly basis.
Responsible for the preparation of monthly and quarterly donor template reports to finance coordinator
Responsible for the review of sub grant partners report
Responsible for the Income tax, pension and PF payment in a monthly basis
Responsible for clearing payables and Receivables in a monthly basis
Responsible for the preparation of bank reconciliations in a monthly basis.
Review the record transactions in appropriate ledgers and posting the transaction to QB in a monthly basis.
Responsible for the proper functioning of the finance units in all offices in all matters involving finance and control and management of assets.
Perform other duties assigned by Finance Coordinator and program coordinator
Skills & Competencies
Advanced MS Excel skills, SAP, QuickBooks, Tableau
Knowledge of financial regulations
Solid knowledge of financial and accounting procedures
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Sharp time management skills
Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data
Communication & Creativity
Strong coordination and networking skills
Ability to manage many requests at once.
