Job Requirements

• Educational Background:

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture (required)

• Master’s preferred, licensed or registered architect (PPAR/PAR)

Work Experience:

• 5–8 years in architectural design and project leadership

• Managed 3–5 full-scope projects

• Experience in at least two of the following project types: Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, Public, with project values of ETB 1 billion or more.

Project Experience:

• Commercial: 1–2 large-scale projects

• Residential: 1–2 projects

• Institutional/Public: 1 project

• Sustainable: LEED or similar project involvement preferred.

Key Skills:

• Strong design and documentation skills

• BIM proficiency (Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino, 3dMax)

• Knowledge of building codes and construction standards

• Experience with design documentation, construction detailing, and client presentations.

• Ability to lead a team of architects and designers throughout the design process.

• Ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and client expectations effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Lead architectural design for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with client requirements and design standards.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, and landscape architects, to achieve integrated project solutions.

• Prepare and present design proposals to clients and stakeholders, addressing their feedback and concerns.

• Mentor junior architects and design assistants.

Terms of Employment: Part-time with 24 hours availability per week

Place of Work: Addis Ababa
