The organization is operational in Addis Ababa City administration, Oromiya, Tigray , Amhara, South Ethiopia and Afar regions.
FHIDO is excited to announce a compelling opportunity for skilled and passionate individuals to join us in our mission to make a difference through the "Bridging the Gap: Enhancing Access to Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) in Rural Ethiopia" project. This vital initiative, carried out in partnership with the esteemed Core Group Small Grants for Scaled Impact (SGSI), targets the underserved regions of Tigray and Afar. We invite you to apply for the following position and be part of a transformative effort that will significantly improve maternal and neonatal health in these communities.
The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall planning, implementation, reporting, and evaluation of the FHIDO Enhancing Access to Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (EmONC) project. Additionally, the Project Manager will work to mobilize extra resources and ensure the sustainability of the project in close collaboration with the Program Director and other relevant staff within the organization. The post holder will ensure that programs are implemented according to agreements and maintained at the highest standards.
Number of position: one
Salary: As per the Organization scale
Term of employment: The terms of employment for the position is one-year contract with possible extension based on proven performance and availability of fund.
Place of work: Addis Ababa, with occasional field visits to project sites.
Job Requirements
Education: BSc/MSC in Nursing, Public Health or in related discipline
Experience: Minimum 5 years for MSC/ 8 years for BSc, NGO experience in community development work with strong exposure to emergency obstetric and neonatal care (EmONC) related project/program implementation.
Required Skill:
Excellent and proven project proposal writing and resource mobilization skill.
Excellent planning, implementation, coordination and M&E skill.
Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary and multi-cultural team
Advanced report writing and presentation skills.
Advanced technical skills relevant to emergency obstetric and neonatal care.
Proven Coaching, Mentoring and leadership experience, particularly in Health and related projects.
Excellent basic computer skills and demonstrated experience in using software, particularly DHIS2.
