Job Requirements:

Education: Master's Degree in Disaster Risk Management, Environmental Science, Development Studies, Economics, Development Economics, Development Management, Management, Food Security, or in a related field of study

Expereince: 8 years or above experience out of this at least 5 years experience should be in donor funded projects or NGOs

Required Skills:

Strong understanding of DRM principles and the DRM context of the country

Excellent communication skills both in Amharic and English Knowledge of local language is anasset

Proficiency in Microsoft office suit (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and familiarity with project management tools

Familiarity with Disaster Risk Reduction Contingency Fund (DRR-CF) mechanismsand disaster financing strategies

Expereince in coordinating EU-Funded Projects

Expereince in donor funded projects

Remarks:

Willingness to Travel frequently to remote areas within the assigned regions

Deep understanding of local sociopolitical context and DRM needs Ethiopia

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented multi-cultural environment is an asset
