Ethiopian Women with Disability National Association (EWDNA) is a local, nonprofit making, nongovernmental organization based in Addis Ababa with 10 branches in Amhara (Gonder, Bahir Dar, Mehale Meda), Oromia (Ambo, jimma, Adama) SNNPR (Arba Minch) Sidama region Hawassa city and Sheger city Sebeta town and Dire Dawa. EWDNA is established in September 2002 with the initiation and struggle of 7 women with disabilities and one non-disabled woman.
EWDNA works on women with 5 types of disabilities; women with visual, hearing, physical & intellectual disability, and women affected by leprosy. EWDNA has 12,590 members of girls and women with disabilities across the country.
EWDNA is currently carrying out a project titled “Promoting the Participation and Representation of Women with Disabilities in Social and Political Activities in Ethiopia.” The project focuses on enhancing the political engagement of women with disabilities empowering them to take part as voters, candidates, and observers in the upcoming general elections. It also aims to encourage political parties to adopt and implement disability-inclusive practices within their programs, campaigns, and activities.
To support this initiative, EWDNA is seeking a Project Officer who will oversee the day-to-day implementation of project activities and act as the primary liaison between EWDNA and the donor.
The specific responsibilities and required qualifications for this role are outlined below.

Report to: Program Manager
Required number: 01
Salary: Negotiable
Place of Work: Addis Ababa
Duration of Employment: One year fixed contract.
Ensures effective implementation of the project activities as per the set plan of action, prepare quarterly and annual report as per the donor requirement.
Work in collaboration with political parties for enhancing the political participation of women with disabilities.
Maintain close communication with Political parties Joint Council, National Election Board of Ethiopia and its regional offices
Plan, organize, and conduct meetings with government officials, local organizations, non-government organizations, and others to promote understanding of, support for, participation in, and effective implementation of project activities.
Maintain up-to-date data related to project activities for the area of responsibility and ensure analysis and interpretation of this data for improvement of project activities in the area.
Conduct monitoring visit and prepare observation reports.
Work in collaboration with local level government actors, National Election Board of Ethiopia, local organizations, community based organizations, and different political parties
Prepares monthly/quarterly progress reports and submits to program Manager
Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor .

Education and Work Experience
Bachelors /MA Degree required, in political science, project management, management, social work, Sociology and other social science fields.
