Job overview 

The Purchaser is responsible for the end-to-end procurement of marketing, advertising, and event-related resources. This role balances high-level negotiation with technical project management to ensure all offline marketing assets and store constructions are executed on time, within budget, and at the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities 

1. Supplier & Resource Management

  • Source & Vet Vendors: Identify and maintain a database of high-quality suppliers specializing in advertising, planning, and event management.

  • Market Alignment: Leverage knowledge of the telecommunications and home appliance industries to select partners that understand the brand’s specific market needs.

  • Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for external vendors, ensuring clear communication of company standards.

2. Project & Store Construction Management

  • End-to-End Ownership: Independently manage store construction projects, from the initial tendering process to final implementation.

  • Feasibility Planning: Provide detailed, actionable implementation plans for new store setups or marketing activations.

  • Technical Oversight: Ensure all physical constructions or event setups meet the design and safety specifications.

3. Negotiation & Financial Control

  • Premium Pricing: Execute advanced negotiation strategies to secure the best possible market rates without compromising on material or service quality.

  • Cost Efficiency: Monitor procurement budgets to ensure cost-saving targets are met while maintaining strict timelines.

  • Tendering: Lead the bidding process for large-scale projects to ensure transparency and value for money.

4. Execution & Coordination

  • Internal Synergy: Coordinate closely with marketing and sales teams to align procurement activities with upcoming campaigns.

  • Timeliness: Ensure all materials and services are delivered according to the project roadmap, especially during high-pressure marketing events.

Job Requirements

Educational Background

  • Minimum Requirement: BA Degree in Purchasing and Supplies Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Marketing Management, Business Administration, or a related field of study.

 Experience & Skills

  • Professional Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in procurement, offline marketing, or event management.

  • Industry Focus: Experience in the telecommunications or home appliance industry is highly preferred.

  • Project Management: Exceptional ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.

  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Familiarity with design software is an added advantage.

  • Soft Skills: Excellent negotiation, interpersonal communication, and creative problem-solving skills.

  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, results-driven, and highly organized.
