Job Summary:

The Head of Concrete Quality Assurance is responsible for overseeing and managing the quality assurance function specifically for concrete products and operations. This role ensures that all concrete materials, mixes, and processes meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of concrete technology, quality control practices, and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Planning and Leadership:

• Develop and implement the concrete quality assurance strategy aligned with organizational goals and project requirements.

• Lead and manage the concrete QA team, including hiring, training, and performance management.

• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the QA team to ensure quality objectives are met.

2. Concrete Quality Management System:

• Design, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for concrete production in compliance with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ACI).

• Ensure adherence to all quality policies, procedures, and processes related to concrete production, testing, and documentation.

• Conduct regular internal audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

Job Requirements

. Concrete Mix Design and Testing:

• Oversee the development, evaluation, and optimization of concrete mix designs to meet project specifications and performance requirements.

• Ensure all concrete testing procedures are accurately followed, including slump tests, compressive strength tests, and durability tests.

• Analyze test results and data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in mix design and production processes.

1. Quality Control and Assurance:

• Implement and monitor concrete quality control measures at all stages of production, including raw material sourcing, batching, mixing, and placement.

• Coordinate with production teams to address quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed.

• Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and instruments.

1. Continuous Improvement:

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in concrete quality processes, mix designs, and testing methods.

• Foster a culture of quality awareness and excellence within the concrete production team.

• Stay informed about industry advancements, new technologies, and best practices in concrete quality assurance.

1. Regulatory and Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards, building codes, and industry best practices for concrete production and testing.

• Manage and coordinate any required certifications, inspections, and audits related to concrete quality.

• Keep abreast of changes in regulations and standards and adjust QA processes accordingly.

1. Customer and Project Management:

• Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related inquiries from clients, contractors, and project managers.

• Address and resolve any quality-related issues or concerns raised by stakeholders.

• Ensure that concrete quality meets or exceeds client expectations and project specifications.
  8. Reporting and Documentation:

• Prepare and present comprehensive reports on concrete quality performance, including test results, audit findings, and improvement initiatives.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to concrete quality assurance activities.
