v The quality control chemist is responsible for controlling the quality of the starting materials, intermediate bulk to finished products, from issuance of the material to processing and that all manufactured products should be in accordance with quality rules and regulations of the company and GMP standards.
v The main task is to determine the nonconformance with specification, check raw materials intermediate products, bulk products and finished products with the set specification and respond to customer complaints as part of the quality team.
v Practice and implement all standard operating procedures.
v Ensure that the necessary steps are observed from receiving of raw materials and relevant tests are carried out before release.
v Ensure that no raw materials or products will be released, until their quality have been evaluated and judged to be satisfactory.
v Generate daily report per size keeping unit, per shift and product line
v Report analytical results and discussion to the supplier the outcome of the test.
v Generate periodic reports like weekly and monthly summarizing the tested incoming starting materials, intermediate bulk and finished product and other report needed by the supervisor and other departments.
v Evaluate and determine the stability of products and materials and set standards in accordance with the collected data.
v Responsible keeping specification and test methods available in the laboratory for raw materials, intermediary products, bulk products and finished products with the SOP for in process control.
v Responsible for keeping the schedule of testing and on time release of results so as not to hinder production schedule.
v Responsible in observing, segregation from quarantine, approved and rejected area for incoming raw materials, intermediate and finished goods.
v Responsible for accepting or rejecting or reworking products that are processed or cease the production process if needed.
v Responsible for accepting or rejecting incoming and soiled raw materials with necessary test result supporting the recommendation.
v Responsible for checking batch records from process and packing in collaboration with quality assurance and production.
v With knowledge and experience of training in the areas of quality control/assurance in the manufacturing, including that laboratory equipment, laboratory procedure, good manufacturing practice and should have leadership capacities
BSc in Chemistry, Chemical or Related Field
Two Years of Experience in Quality Control (QC)or Quality Assurance (QA) within the Manufacturing Industry, Preferably in the production of soap, Detergents, or Personal Care Products.
