Job Requirements

Education: TVET Level 5 in Mining or with related field of study

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years’ experience in RC drilling is required out of which 5 years in the exploration/mining fields

• RC or Multipurpose drilling experience

• Proven experience in either RC exploration or Multipurpose Drilling

• Booster and Auxiliary compressor experience essential

• Working experience with diverse cultures is preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the drill rig and crews whilst delivering safe drilling operations

• Consistently apply exceptional drilling practices and techniques

• Ensure personnel compliance with the companies HSE regulations and site specific rules

• Training local employees and subordinates

• Apply best drilling practices to achieve accurate sampling and high-quality drilling results.

• Identify and report any technical issues, hazards, or operational risks to management promptly.

• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transport of drilling tools, equipment, and samples

Skills & Competencies

• Mechanical knowledge/background and a willingness to learn

• Demonstrated leadership in Safety, Health, Environment and Quality

• Demonstrated ability to empower local communities and hold 'cultural awareness' in high regard

• Must be able to communicate in English
