CVDA has been re-registered and licensed by the Ethiopian Ministry of Justice, Charities and Societies Agency, on November 30, 2009 as an Ethiopian Residents charity in accordance with the Charities and Societies proclamation No. 621/2009 with registration No. 0588. As per 1113/2019 proclamation also re-registered on July 30, 2019.
CVDA has permission to work at the national level however so far operates marginal parts of Benshangule Gumuz Region, Sidama region, South Ethiopia Region, Central Ethiopia region, South west Ethiopia region, Oromiya region, Afar region and Addis Ababa City administration.
It is member of Consortium of Reproductive Health Association (CORHA), Union of Ethiopian Women Charitable Association (UEWCA), Ethiopian Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative/EEITI/, Ethiopia Civil Society Coalition for Scaling up Nutrition/ECSC-SUN/ and Afar Region Health Partner Forum.

Mission:
CVDA’s mission is to enhance socioeconomic development in health, education, agriculture, environment, livelihood, and WaSH, humanitarian responses, community-based peace-building, and good governance through holistic approaches and working with the community to contribute towards sustainable development and an improved standard of living in Ethiopia.
Overall goal:
CVDA’s goal is to contribute to poverty alleviation through community-based approaches by implementing programs for development, good governance, and humanitarian responses in different regions of the country.

Description of the Vacancy
Common Vision for Development Association (CVDA) is on the process of starting project focuses women economic empowerment in 7 woreda of somali region and announced the following anticipated Project on women economic empowerment in collabrtion with PSI=Ethiopia
The main objective of the project is to improve delivery of high-quality FP and/or MNCH services through implementation of CSC in health and nutrition sector in 7 woredas of Gedeo and Gurage zones SNNPR. So CVDA needs to hire competent professional in the following position.
Reports to: Program Director
Duration of employment: one year with high possibility of extension based on performance and availability of fund.
Salary: As per the scale of the organization
Regional program lead will have the following duty and responsibility but not limted to listed below:
Oversee the leadership and successful implementation of economic empowerment program and projects.
Lead internal and external program designing, planning, budgeting, monitoring and evaluation, including annual work planning with project management and technical teams and implementing partners.
Provide expertise in developing and executing sustainable business models for increasing demand and supply, including continuing research on existing markets and barriers to growth.
Separate and strengthen donor engagement and government relations functions by ensuring tailored communication strategies and regular joint reviews with each stakeholder group.
Ensure sound financial management, including programmatic budgeting, pending projections, and monitoring of payments.
Ensure the effective use and coordination of donor resources and the compliance of the financial systems and controls with the donor standards as well as CVDA organizational polocies and regulations.
Work with finance and/or business development agencies to develop financial products and deliver business development services.
Develop and manage a team with members of diverse positions, including Specilists , coordinators and officers with different backgrounds, including marketing/sales/communication, entrepreneurship development, collaboration, learning and accountability, governance, finance and grant etc.
Develop and execute plans that will result in long-term sustainability of the initiative.
Ensure high-quality periodic reporting in line with donor and government requirements (quarterly and annual status reports, quarterly financial reports, etc.)
Ensure effective communication and partnership established with regional stakeholders and PSI Ethiopia technical team.
Work with organizational staffs on organizational proposal development and resource mobilization
Required qualification and experience
At least six (6) years with master’s degree or ten years for BA degree holder in management, Economics, Business Administration or other relevant disciplines out of which 6/8 (respectively) years of program supervisory/ managerial experience is required.
Experience in livelihood and women economic empowerment project in pastorial community is advantageous
Excellent team management skills and capacity to effectively address and resolve conflict
Strong ability to manage cross-functional teams, oversee partnerships, and adapt programming based on real-time evidence and learning.
Excellent diplomatic skills and proven ability to work effectively with government officials, partners, donors, and stakeholders at high levels.
Excellence in oral and written communication, including impactful presentations, with proficiency in English and Amharic languages.
