Duties & Responsibilities:
People/Leadership/Capability:
Monitoring of the Area team’s performance and motivating them to reach & exceed their targets
Leading by example and creating a sense of ownership and accountability with all Team members
Initiating & inspiring others to come up with new ideas, innovations and better ways of working
Manage people for success by having frequent one-on-one conversations to ensure expectations are met through a well-planned performance review process
Coaching & building the capabilities of sales staff and the Distributor’s crew members through consistent & ongoing on-the-job training
Key Distributor Management/RTM:
Responsible for the implementation and daily follow-up of the Company’s Route-to-Market Strategy, including the ways of working within the Distributor's (Agent's) business
Ensure a consistent availability & distribution of the Company’s products
Establishing, maintaining and expanding the regional customer base in line with the Company’s vision and mission statements
Develop, maintain and measure calling schedules of sales staff, both internal and external (Distributor’s crew)
Create, plan, review and manage the frequency of delivery routes
Building good business-to-business relationships with Distributors (Agents) through regular meetings, feedback sessions and formal performance review
Close monitoring of stock levels in Warehouse and Satellite warehouses of the Distributor in conjunction with the Distribution department to ensure zero stock-outs of product
Building good relationships with the warehouse, operations and distribution teams
Business Performance and Execution:
Monitoring of sales targets vs. actual sales, for both sales staff & Distributors (Agents) with daily follow-up and feedback
Achieve sustainable growth & sales targets through the correct ways of working, as per the Company’s RTM standards
Implementing regional sales plans and execution of agreed action plans
Responsible for the execution of the Company’s pricing strategy, including regular feedback to the business about changing trends in the marketplace and competitor activities
Management of all working tools in their respective Region, i.e. Vehicles, Mobile devices, sales system, etc.
Responsible for the allocation, placement & proper utilization of Fridges and POS items together with the Trade Marketing team
Accountable to achieve and increase profit per crate in their respective Territory
Customer Relationship Management:
Act as the Company’s number 1 Contact point for both internal & external customers
Create a culture within the Region to build sound customer relationships.
Handling customer complaints and queries by delegating clear responsibilities to Team members to resolve within the expected timelines
Develop an understanding of all Customer needs and support Team members in how to address those needs
All product quality-related queries to be resolved ‘As First’ priority at all times
Social responsibility to identify and support all Community projects in line with business goals
Planning and Administration:
Setting an example with good planning & preparation of own schedule (day, week & month)
Able to develop sales updates, presentations and business proposals to support regional growth
Planning, execution and management of regional budgets, incl. on-time submission of expense/settlement reports
Management of database integrity & proper utilization of all sales systems
Handle requests & queries from senior managers and/or their administrative assistants
Plan meetings and translate all business communications to the Regional Teams
Job Requirements
MA/BA Degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration, Management or related fields with Professional Experience
4 to 6 years of relevant experience, of which 2 years in a managerial position in the FMCG industry, OR equivalent
