Job Summary
ICOS Consulting is seeking highly motivated and academically outstanding professionals to join our team as Research Analyst on a full-time basis. We are looking for individuals with strong analytical capabilities, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for research and consulting. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging assignments while developing the skills and competencies required to excel in the consulting and research profession.
Job Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Economics, Development Studies, Agricultural Economics, Monitoring and Evaluation, Statistics, Demography and Population Studies, Data Science, Public Policy or with research related field of study
A minimum of CGPA of 3.8 for Bachelor’s Degree graduates and a minimum CGPA of 3.6 for Master’s Degree graduates at both undergraduate and graduate levels from an accredited and reputable university.
Experience:
0 year
Experience in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools and systems for research, analysis, and productivity enhancement is advantageous

Duties and Responsibilities
Research Design and Proposal Development
Design and prepare high-quality research and consulting proposals using sound scientific and analytical approaches.
Advise project teams on appropriate research designs, methodologies, and analytical techniques to address client objectives.
Program survey tools on electronic survey management platforms (such as KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO) to ensure smooth digital data collection.
Contribute to the preparation of inception reports, data collection tools and quality assurance plans.
Fieldwork Planning and Management
Develop fieldwork protocols, training manuals, and quality assurance procedures.
Travel to field sites and collect data.
Monitor fieldwork implementation and assess data quality and team performance.
Ensure adherence to research protocols and ethical standards throughout project implementation.
Data Management and Analysis
Prepare data analysis plans and analytical frameworks.
Review, classify, clean, and weight raw datasets to prepare them for computational processing.
Process large volumes of complex data to perform statistical modeling and qualitative analysis.
Utilize advanced statistical and qualitative software to interpret results, adapting analytical methods to solve field-specific research problems.
Reporting and Knowledge Generation
Interpret research findings and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations.
Prepare high-quality research reports, evaluation reports, policy briefs, presentations, and other technical documents.
Present findings to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
Support the dissemination and utilization of research evidence.

Technical Competencies
Strong quantitative and qualitative research skills.
Excellent analytical, statistical, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in statistical software packages such as SPSS, STATA, R, Python, or similar analytical tools.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Exceptional academic performance and demonstrated research potential.
