Dynamic Planners P.L.C. is a Grade-I Engineering and Architectural consulting firm, as well as a Grade-I, Water resource engineering. Dynamic Planners would like to hire a professional for the stated position here below with the following background.

Position: Resident Engineer

Place of Work: Addis Ababa

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Mainly responsible for the supervision of construction work by making sure that it is executed as per the works contract (drawing and specification), and ensuring the quality, cost and schedule of the project.

• Mainly responsible efficiently communicating with the client/ stakeholders and the contractor regarding the construction supervision work by writing/ responding to official notices, conducting and scribing bi-lateral and tri-party meetings on a regular basis.

• Mainly responsible for generating and submitting weekly/ monthly construction progress reports.

• Mainly responsible for reviewing and signing on Contractors Payment Certificate; and making correction for all mistakes as reviewed by project representative, checking

• Mainly Responsible material quality inspection and co-approval in collaboration with company staffs. 

• Work closely and professionally with the project coordinator/ Contract administration/ quantity surveyor in assisting maintaining company's supervision standard by closely following works of the contractor and is highly responsible for any quality problems that will happen due to carelessness, corruption or lack of competency

• Mainly responsible for maintaining hard and soft copy of all project records, specifically under his/her team

• Providing technical assistance to the contract administration department in responding to contractor's design inquiries, conducting author control visits to project sites per request, conducting provisional and final acceptance

• Liaise outstanding issue(s) of the project/ consultant with Client and/or other stakeholders 

Job Requirements

• Education: B.Sc. / MSc. Degree in Civil Engineering / Construction Management or related fields.

• A minimum 15 years of proven, General Experience & 8 years of Specific Experience in Building (Mid-rise to high-rise) construction supervision. A background in contract administration and design projects is an asset.  (2 years of experience can be considered in luie of an MSc. Degree)
